Regional Sales Director

– US

Salary Range - $125k - $150k Base + OTE (50/50)

Our client is a technology leader in shared storage and smart workflow solutions for the production, post-production, new media, sports, and education markets. They are looking for a highly talented Regional Sales Director who needs to ideally be based in their Northeast Region.

As a key member of the Americas sales team, you will carry out a wide range of sales activities in order to grow the Video and Broadcast IT related products of the company. You will represent the company at trade shows and industry events and regularly meet face to face with customers and channel partners. Developing and maintaining strong relationships with key accounts in your region as well as identifying and growing new business will be key responsibilities.


In the first three months you will:

  • Complete their product/solutions training and be able to deliver a strong pitch.

  • Deliver a strong prospect list to later convert into new leads (within the first 6-9 months)

  • Visit existing customers and establish a strong and lasting working relationship

  • Develop a plan to grow sales by seeking out new partners and identifying weaknesses in your existing partners.

  • Identify a list of new strategic accounts and set out a plan on how to win them over

  • Establish yourself as credible partner and champion to our channel partners by conducting business review meetings and executing newly structured deals where appropriate

  • Close your first deal.

Within the first six month you will:

  • Develop, schedule and execute a sales action plan.

  • Identify and sell through customer upsell opportunities.

On an ongoing basis you will:

  • Report to the VP sales by providing accurate forecasting and communicating obstacles in quota achievement.

What We’re Looking For

  • Result driven individuals: Hitting the sales quota is a top priority and all activities will need to be conducted with this in mind

  • Customer focus: Our client is pioneering new video workflow and media asset management solutions. It will be key for this person to understand our customer’s needs in order to correctly position the solutions on offer

  • Excellent negotiation skills combined with resiliency and tenacity

  • Experience with broadcast video and post-production workflows, and a technical or operational background in the target market is highly advantageous

  • Hands-on approach: willingness to learn the product solutions to be able to demonstrate product benefits to potential customers

  • Candidates must be willing to travel as required for the job and be able to work independently, often without direct supervision.

  • Experience in Media Workflow Solutions of video content (on-prem, in the cloud and/or hybrid), Collaborative Storage, MAM/PAM

  • Experience using Salesforce desirable
